The 500-hectare reserve off the R60 between Worcester and Robertson offers bountiful birdlife including a breeding pair of Verreaux's eagles, small game like Cape grysbok and klipspringer, a family of bush pigs, caracal, genet, honey badgers, Cape clawless otter, bat-eared fox, a migrant troop of baboons, and breeding leopard. Our diverse flora include the seldom seen Brunsvigia josephinae or giant candelabra flower. There are only three residences inside the reserve, two of which accommodate guests. Doornkloof Private Nature Reserve is a Protected Environment and part of the Rooiberg Breede River Conservancy. A maximum of six guests at a time in the reserve to ensure your exclusive wilderness experience. Three private hiking trails for guests' exclusive use.
